Dancing and Walking Holidays Ltd   Summer Newsletter 2017

This year we have welcomed many previous guests along with several new guests.  It has been a difficult year due to the need to cancel our holiday in Bournemouth as the hotel decided it was no longer taking bookings for dancing holidays.  However we were able to provide a replacement holiday at Eastbourne.

Our remaining 2017 holidays at Matlock and Grange are fully booked with waiting lists for cancellations.

Our 2018 bookings open from 6th August which include return visits to previously popular locations.  Once again we are not charging a deposit on booking but do ask for a commitment when you book as this year we have had to cancel our holiday at Symonds Yat in October (for the first time ever!) due to the large number of cancellations.  You are advised to take out holiday insurance which includes cancellation as refunds cannot be given once you have paid for your holiday.  Transport to/from the walks is not included although service buses are often taken where a concessionary bus pass can be used and some walks start and/or finish at the hotel.  More information can be obtained from our website, where you can also book. http://www.scottish-country-dancing-and-walking-holidays.com   Listed below are some details of holidays in 2018.

scottish dancing and walking holidays in torquay

Our recent Torquay holiday was fun and successful.

We welcomed several new guests along with many regular friends to the Victoria Hotel.

evening entertainment on scottish country dancing and walking holidays

Once again Geoff taught a number of interested and unusual dances each morning and led some very successful evening sessions.

We also had use of other facilities, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, bowls and snooker, which many guests enjoyed.

Several of us went walking either for the day or in the afternoon along picturesque coastal paths and enjoyed a visit to Cockington Country Park with its beautiful gardens and craft workshops. We would hope to revisit this hotel with its great facilities in the next few years.
