Bookings are now Being Taken for Holidays in 2021

Dear Scottish Dancers,

In spite of the turmoil caused by the coronavirus we are now accepting bookings for our 2021 Holiday Programme in the hope we will be able to go ahead with at least some of them.

Full details of these are now on the website, where you can book by following the link to the Booking Form.

Unlike previously we will not be sending out a booking confirmation by post. Instead the Email copy of the details that you enter in to the Booking Form will now serve as your official Booking Confirmation.

No deposit is required. If we are able to go ahead with the holiday you will receive a request for full payment one calendar month before the holiday along with full details of the dancing and walking programmes. If we need to cancel the holiday there will be no liability on your part.

Keep safe,
The Two Peters

Dates for Your Diary - Dancing & Walking Holidays in 2021

Dancing and Walking Holidays Ltd

Autumn 2020 Newsletter

We hope you are all keeping well in these unprecedented times and that you haven’t missed your Scottish dancing too much.

2020 has been a year none of us could possibly have imagined at the beginning of the year. Luckily we were able to run the first dancing holiday of the year just before the lockdown at the Craiglands Hotel Ilkley. The hotel was still open and everyone had paid so we decided to go ahead because if we didn’t guests would have lost all their money.

Since then we have had to cancel all the 2020 holidays which were all booking well. However, all the hotels have offered us the chance to postpone the holidays and transfer our deposit until 2021. This created another problem in that we had already booked the venues for 2021.  However, three of the hotels have since closed permanently so we have been able to integrate some of the 2020 hotels into the 2021 programme. The three hotels that have closed permanently are The Queens, Llandudno, Willersley Castle, Matlock and Sidholme Hotel, Sidmouth. These closures are very sad as we have visited some of these hotels as many as five times over the years.

We hope to go back to Llandudno and Derbyshire in the future but this inevitably depends on being able to find a hotel with a good sized ballroom which are few and far between.

We have planned six holidays for 2021 in the expectation we will be able to go ahead with them, and with people having missed out on dancing holidays in 2020, there will be a strong demand. We have decided not to take bookings at this stage, but ask you to make a note of the dates.

As soon as the situation improves with Covid, and we are confident we can go ahead, we will update the website and let you know when we start to take bookings for 2021.

Keep safe,
The Two Peters

scottish dancing and walking holidays in torquay

Our recent Torquay holiday was fun and successful.

We welcomed several new guests along with many regular friends to the Victoria Hotel.

Once again Geoff taught a number of interested and unusual dances each morning and led some very successful evening sessions.

We also had use of other facilities, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, bowls and snooker, which many guests enjoyed.

Several of us went walking either for the day or in the afternoon along picturesque coastal paths and enjoyed a visit to Cockington Country Park with its beautiful gardens and craft workshops. We would hope to revisit this hotel with its great facilities in the next few years.
