Willersley Castle is a Grade II listed castle set in 60 acres of grounds, and originally commissioned by Sir Richard Arkwright, the famous cotton industrialist.
Accommodation is in the main house and in the mews, a converted stable block located about 100 metres from the main building.
There is no resident bar but there is a table licence.
The facilities include a 15 metre swimming pool within the hotel grounds, which is free to hotel guests.
Several walks are available, some starting/finishing at the hotel itself, others by taking a short trip on the local service bus. There are feature walks available, for example, through the grounds of Chatsworth House, taking the High Peak Trail, or following the Cromford Canal.
There is ample free parking within the hotel grounds.
Rail access is via Derby to Cromford station, which is about 0.5mile from the hotel.
There is no need to come with a partner as the atmosphere is inclusive and very welcoming.
